Anna

Deputy & Business Manager

Designated Safeguarding Lead (Early Years First Aid trained)

Level 3

I started working with children as a private nanny in southern Spain many years ago. It was here that I cared for 2 young children aged between 2 and 4 years old. Spain is where I met my husband Darran and where we married a few years later.

After having my two children Tom and Martha, we returned to England. I began work as a Supervisor at a village playgroup while studying to complete my Early Years training. It was at this playgroup that I experienced my first encounter with Ofsted which thankfully ended with a pleasing outcome of ‘Good’.

With a keen interest in education I decided to develop my knowledge of Special Educational Needs. I took the opportunity to volunteer in a Designated Special Provision attached to a local school in Brackley. I spent many years supporting children with a variety of special needs and helping them to integrate within mainstream school.

A few years later I took on a 1:1 position within the main part of the school. I worked as a general TA across the whole of the school and as an HLTA in EYFS and KS1. I was responsible for covering teachers planning and preparation time, planning and delivering specific lessons.

Before becoming the Deputy Nursery Manager at HPFS in Bicester, I also had experience as a Deputy Manager at a local private nursery, School Administrator and a school Governor.

On weekends I like to relax with my family and can often be spotted around Brackley walking our two dogs.
