Early Years Educator Level 3

Language Lead

(First Aid trained)

Early Years has always had a place in my heart and have sought out many ventures within the sector. I started my career as an apprentice within a nursery setting completing my Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications. After three years I progressed to working within the family home; I privately nannied for a wonderful family of 3 for just under a year. This gave me a lovely insight into family life and supporting a variety of ages 1 year – 11 years. As their family then grew into a family of four children they no longer required my care. I decided to come back to nursery’s and work with a large setting progressing within the team to senior roles over another three and a half years.

During this time I extended my education further and completed my TAQA qualification back in 2017 which enabled me to practice as a qualified Trainer Assessor supporting apprentices to gain their level 2 and 3 Early Years Educator qualifications.

In 2018 I decided to make the jump and become a full time Trainer Assessor working for a college then in 2020 with an online company. I furthered my skills with completing Train the Trainer qualifications, Paediatric First Aid and First Aid at Work which I then taught to apprentices. I loved supporting learners in gaining their qualifications, build confidence and further develop their passion within the Early Years. I learned so much from working with a variety of settings across the South of England.

I then had my daughter Lily towards the end of 2023 and decided to spend some extra time with her as a stay at home Mum. From working in nurseries I know how amazing they are in supporting children in their development and confidence, and wanted Lily to have the best start. I am so happy to have found Sparkling Minds for her as they will do just this. It’s exciting to be going on this journey with her.

I shall be extending my skillset further with training to become the setting Language Lead.

I live with my husband and Lily. I love animals, spending time with family and friends, reading and listening to music.
